Do you Know How to Clean your Furniture? No? Me Too

As a part of the whole home cleaning thing, the furniture plays less significant role. I mean there are so many other things that need much of your attention. But we will leave that for another time, now we are going to discuss couple of hint or tricks, of how to treat your furniture right.

  • One of the most common problems with the furniture are the water rings left from vases or glasses. The best way to remove such is to wipe them right away, as they are still fresh. Use a soft cloth
for that. In case the marks are already set, you could use oil-based furniture polish. Among the other good-working techniques, is applying mayonnaise over and leaving it like that overnight. On the next day simply wipe off. Toothpaste and baking soda on a damp cloth, work great too.
  • In case you have some light scratches on the wooden table in your living room, you could mask them pretty well by using crayons. You just need to find the right colour that matches the furniture. Another option is to use the meat of a black walnut and rub the scratch with it.
  • To make the same wooden table shine rub it with vinegar and polish afterwards. The odd smell from the drawers could be removed by placing either ground coffee or baking soda and leave it like that for few days. If the smell persists, you can use the heavy artillery- place a bowl of bleach inside.

Taking proper care of the furniture will not only prolong its life, but it will keep its good outlook too. Remember that, in case if you are not sure how to proceed don't make experiments or you might damage something irreversibly. Professional cleaning services could do great. End of lease cleaning, one-off cleaning, carpet cleaning Melbourne has got as services, could prove very useful, in a moment of uncertainty.
